Nathan has been playing since the yo-yo boom of 1998 and has been a member of Team YoYoJam since 2004. Nathan graduated from the University of Washington in 2007 with a BS in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering and a minor in music. He currently resides in Sunnyvale, CA where he works as a mechanical engineer for Lockheed Martin. In college, Nathan was a member of the Husky Marching Band and the Kappa Alpha Order. Nathan is currently active in the yo-yo community as a judge and contest director but he’s confident he could still hold his own on stage if he wanted to. Nathan is also a former member of the Board of Directors for the American Yo-Yo Association.

Random Facts:
Nathan has performed at Carnegie Hall, in the London New Year’s Day Parade, in the Victoria Day Parade in Victoria, British Columbia, the Pacific Basin Music Festival in Sydney Australia, and in the Midosuji Parade in Osaka Japan.

He is a huge Oakland A’s, San Jose Sharks, Golden State Warriors, Oakland Raiders, and Washington Huskies fan.

Considers the 2003 Apple Cup to be the best sporting event he was ever at.

Was co-captain of the wrestling team as well as captain of the quiz bowl team in high school.

Is a former President of the Zeta Mu Chapter of the Kappa Alpha Order.
